As businesses and consumers become more environmentally conscious in the face of growing threats such as climate change, many have made recycling initiatives a primary focus. PPP, LLC is a vertically integrated, full-service plastic recycling company that cleans, grinds, and reprocesses recycled plastics. We specialize in recycling plastics for reuse by large-scale manufacturing operations where plastic is in high demand. Our team can process pellets from industrial grade, post-industrial grade, or post-consumer grade plastic waste, depending on the needs of the client.

Materials Used

Most of the material we work with comes from one of two sources:

  • Post-Industrial Grade. Post-industrial grade material is generated as scrap during manufacturing processes. PPP, LLC purchases this plastic scrap from large and small businesses, after which we recycle it into pellets for re-use in manufacturing processes.
  • Post-Consumer Grade. Anything you might put in your plastic recycling bin is considered post-consumer grade plastic waste, such as milk jugs or plastic bottles. Local recycling programs collect this waste and send it to recycling facilities for sorting. We purchase this material from the recycling centers and also accept walk-ins for consumers who want to sell us their plastic waste for cash.

Types of Recyclable Plastic

PPP, LLC specializes in recycling high-density polyethylene (HDPE; Grade 2) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE & LLDPE; Grade 4) plastic materials.

HDPE

This thermoplastic polymer is made from petroleum and known for its high strength-to-density ratio and excellent tensile strength. As one of the safest and most versatile forms of plastic, it is used in an expansive array of consumer products, such as shampoo bottles, cutting boards, piping, plastic bottles, and much, much, more.

HDPE offers excellent physical characteristics that make it ideal for recycling, such as:

  • Simple and cost-effective recycling process
  • Low moisture absorption
  • Good chemical resistance
  • Good corrosion resistance
  • Easy to machine and fabricate
  • Ideal for food preparation surfaces
  • Easy welding

LDPE & LLDPE

LDPE is another thermoplastic that is easily recycled. Though most commonly used to make plastic bags, LDPE and LLDPE also get used to make medical prosthetics, orthotics, computer hardware covers, and countless other products. Some of the primary characteristics that make LDPE/LLDPE so popular include:

  • Softness and pliability
  • Easy heat sealing and welding
  • Good chemical resistance
  • Low moisture absorption
